This is quite cool.. Think he should have stopped the right side at the normal position for hanging panniers, and extended the left side by equivalent amount removed as that doesnt affect the fold or total folded package size.

There is really a lot lacking in [commercially offered] rack design these days.

edit: guess with the drop bars that rack width doesnt affect it tho!
