I used to say the same thing (and I'm from NH so I know weather a bit). But you have to realize So Cal is not equipped for this. There is sub par drainage on many roads including highways. In fact, there have been quite a few road closures due to landslides here. It seems we have nothing to complain about, but the city here is nto set up well for any weather besides sun. That said, I never made it out today. Too much water for my bike hah.
ding ding ding. It's not the water per se, but how messed up the roads become due to the inability of the roads to handle more than 2 inches of rain. It really does become unridable in many places.
