Your hybrid probably has 700c wheels so you would need a fork that would fit, mountain bike specific forks will not work. Never looked into it, but Trek 7XXX series sometimes has a suspension fork, so you should be able to find one for 700c. Might be cheaper to start with wider tires that run low pressure.
