I had them for a while but didn't really get the chance to ride in ice. They get mixed reviews, many posters say there aren't enough studs for serious ice, especially if you're going up a hill or something. I imagine for an occasional ice patch they might work fine. I found them incredibly slower on clear streets than regular tires, but I'm sure they are worlds better than the more aggressive studded tires in that regard.
