It's an axiom journey rack. Supposed capacity of 75 kilos...yeah right! It is way less stable than my other rack, but that is a handmade bruce gordon rack, so they aren't even comparable. The axiom rack seemed to work with this load, but I had to take care when climbing out of the saddle to not rock the bike back and forth too much.

I'm guess total load here is about 30lbs+





The road to the grocery store is a four lane divided highway, 45mph. A bit hairy, but makes you really pick up the speed.



This was my first loaded fixed ride, and I liked it quite a bit. That extra weight makes the legs work a bit harder, and it was a pretty rewarding ride. I think I might start throwing some full gallon jugs in the panniers for recreational rides, good training for the touring season
