I like the other poster's suggestion.
I wear prescription bi-focals all the time. Several years ago I cheaped out buying sun glasses because I couldn't imagine needing reading glasses out doors. That was a mistake. I was surprised at how often I wanted to look at a map or something else up close. Today I wear bi-focal sun glasses or a clip-on polarized lense over my indoor glasses.
