Hey, thanks for the reply... turns out it's a 1974, or at least it has to be because it can't be a 1973 with the WC at the front.
it's my dad's old bike i found tucked away in the garage and apparently he got it when he was 16/17; 37 years ago.
Whatever happened to the middle number I don't know, but the workshop Raleighs have 6 numbers at the end (so the 0 isn't the year).

Perhaps the first run of these 1974-1980 Raleighs weren't stamped right, or maybe this one just got into a fight with the stamping machine (there are other numbers stamped on the frame in various places - maybe this was for construction guidelines?)
