My mom and her dad died of colon cancer. After my mom died I went and got one done (age 36). One benign polyp removed. 3 years later I was okay so it'll be 5? years. Coming up soon for me.

The previous day is not that bad as long as you're at home.

If you have a choice get a morning appointment. Waiting the whole day would be difficult. I've been fortunate and have gotten morning appointments.

The day of is a breeze. It's really, really, really relaxing. It's one of those, "Hey, why is the top of my head numb?" And then you wake up and you have no idea what's going on, just that the bed is warm and soft and you're super relaxed.

I've read that the patient is very vulnerable in this state - basically there's no errr I don't know the word right now.. self control. The drug is like a truth serum. Most patients will happily answer awkward questions totally truthfully and not remember.

"Have you had an affair after we got married?"
"Yep, a few times."
Etc.
