Some Schwinn fanatic rescue me here. I had little interest
in them until I ended up with three in the last year. I did
read "No Hands, the Rise and Fall ..." but some time ago.

It's a legitimate Waterford built Paramount. It was about this time that Schwinn began to design and then "outsourced" Asian built Paramounts. Those were designed in Waterford, WI. At the same time the US made ones still were being produced.
