The first two sentences should make it clear that I feel that you can install/remove a Power Link from a Sram chain several times. If you want to use a different chain - then use a different Power Link. You get a new Power Link with the purchase of each Sram chain. If you use a KMC Missing Link I feel you should use it the same way you would use a Power Link -- install a new link whenever you go to a new chain.
