Bibs: Stay Up, No Waist Pressure, No A$$ crack for the unfortunate people behind you, Comfort, and they are PRO.
Shorts: Fine for quick jaunts to work or the market etc. That's it. Try them both if you must, but you are better off getting the bibs, and spending the money for shorts on a good jersey or some arm warmers or something.
