New User Austin, TX

I've been cycling in one form or another all my life. In 93 I took a long retirement to recover from plantar faciatas. In 09 I bought a mountain bike to ride in the nice trails we have here in Austin, TX.

Last summer I had my 89 Centurion redone and started road biking. After reading 'Riding With the Blue Moth', I was inspired to ride my bike from Austin to Little Rock, TX, and planned to take my ride in Sept 2010.

I got sick 2 weeks before I was supposed to go and could not recover.

As soon as I get my tax refund I am purchasing a fully loaded Surly LHT, and have rescheduled the trip for this September.

Using the message boards as a way to connect and learn new things.

Thanks,
Brian
