Many of the components on the OPs bike are identical to those found on the Bottecchia Special model, a lovely bicycle in its own right, but nothing special about the Special when compared to the Giro d'Italia or Professional, both of which have identical frame and fork sets, in case you didn't know.

This is a Special I picked up a couple of year ago for twenty bucks. The bicycle now lives in Japan...
