A hello there from Birmingham, UK!
Hi! I've been cycling for yonks, but only started taking it seriously about 9 months ago when I got my first roadie; a an early 90s(?) Raleigh Vitesse.
Since then I've got myself an 80s Raleigh Equippe and converted it to a fixie (52/18, soon to be 52/15 - there aren't very many big hills around me) which is a lot of fun.
I commute every day, 7ish miles a way, and probably do about 30 miles a week in errands and the like.

PS. If anyone has information on the Vitesse, I'd be very interested in hearing it; I haven't been able to find hardly anything about it online.
