In my opinion it would be criminal to part it out. If you are curious about the year of manufacture look at the top of the rear derailleur in front of where the cable enters. It should have the last two digits of the year the RD was made.
The RD is from 1980, but that does not always that the bikr is. Maby it has bren build up some years later than the frame was produced or the derailleur was replaced.
However 80 could be right after the resurches I made on sheldon brown and other sites.
Any idea of the value in this size and condition?
