Yeah, if they are the turkey wing style of old - then don't bother. Hell if you really, really want them, the local coop has a few NOS sets sitting around. I've left them there though, as I prefer brake levers without them.
The cross/interrupter brake levers work really, really well with short pull brakes - such as canti's or road brakes.
