Is It Time to Put My New York Bicycling Site To Sleep?

Before we get into riding season for the REST of us here in New York, I once again have to evaluate whether my web site should be either updated or retired.

I started "New York Rides" (http://nyrides.freehosting.net) back in 1997 as a resource for cyclists looking for interesting family-type rides, specifically bike paths, rail trails, etc. Over the years, I've received scores of e-mails from people thanking me for the information and for turning them on to cycling.

Unfortunately, as making a living has gotten more and more complicated over the years, I've had less time to re-visit the various paths and trails to keep the site fresh and up-to-date. As a result, I no longer feel like enough of an authority on this subject to run a site called "New York Rides."

I have no idea how many of you have ever visited the site, but I'd like to ask a favor. If you have a few minutes to check it out and send some comments regarding changes to existing bikeways, closures, additions, etc., I might be able to decide whether it is more practical to update the site or to just shut it down.

Once again, the address is http://nyrides.freehosting.net . No need for extended commentaries. Just a few lines would do.

Thank you all very much!
