I have to say out of all the C&V related things...dt shifter, toe cips, center pull brakes, non aero brake levers, tubulars, etc... I just can't do toe clips. Maybe it's an acquired thing or taste. I can't never get the clips to flip back around once I get going from stand still and then end up dragging the things on the ground. It's always clipless pedals or normal pedals without the clips. Even when I rode fixed gear I always rode with clipless pedals on them.
On my campus bike/grocery getter I use clips, but clipless for everything else. I've been more prone to falling on clips rather than clipless. It's nice to be able to pull your foot out from the side on clipless. I'm trying to convince my girlfriend to see it that way though. They intimidate her.
