Yup. + 1

My Cyclocross knobbies get all squigly on pavement. Feels loose and squeaks. Sometimes I'll ride to a trail on them. Probably that sound is the pavement eating them alive.

But the Maxxis Ignitors on my DH seem to like pavement ok. Though riding the bike on the road is like riding a farm tractor. Those tires have bigger flat blocks which seem to be ok on pavement.
