I test rode both and went with the 7.5. The major difference is the carbon fork on the 7.5. Ive put in over 500 miles this spring and am very happy with the purchase. The carbon fork definitely help with impact and trail vibration.

Depending on your LBS, you might want to consider new. My LBS gives 1 free full service checkup anytime you choose after purchase, unlimited lifetime brake and derailleur adjustments, free labor on changes made during purchase and 10% off parts and accessories for 30 days after purchase. They are also pretty good at doing minor fixes for free to.
