Giant ATX 770
looking hard at a (used) Giant atx 770 with Shimano Deore LX Shifters/cranks(not real sure about brakes but they are canti-lever) not 100% on the year, but asking price for good condition is $160 not negotiable, works, fits, Chro-moly frame (looked at neck and joints no touchups or crack or paint issues) and Campagnola (sp?) wheels and fresh Bontragers tires of acceptable style(for now) wheels are true, chain is not worn and does not jump teeth etc, but if it is a good deal minus gears and freewheel I'm willing to replace them if needed next time the chain is due assuming the rest of the bike is worth it. this bike does call to me to ride, more than the huffy I love, its also aboout a half ton lighter. but if I get it it needs to be future solid. I am feeling like this is a good deal, whats the group opinion?
