If the seatpost is adjusted all the way down, it's hard to say that it's at the perfect height. How tall are you? My preference (and one that seems to be common) for a mountain bike/ hybrid is to have the hand grips about level with the seat. Divides your weight between hands & butt. It'll take a bit of fiddling to get all the particulars dialed in. I adjusted the seat on my road bike to tilt about 1/2" downward at the nose- made a significant difference

And beware of taking bike fitting advice from some guy on the internet who's never seen you or your bike.
