It does look cherry. Just nick those reflectors and yellowed plastic dork disc, polish up the alloy bits, and it'll look showroom new.
I believe you have King Kong hubs. At least that's what I found when I searched for the KK brand. I have a mtb wheel with one of their conventional hubs.
I think it's Taiwanese.
