Specialized Sirrus zombie
It started out of a scrap-heap frame I snagged at the co-op for the price of the fork, wheels and headset. I fixed a burst chainstay with a carbon-fibre cast. It's held up so far. I do plan on putting a nashbar carbon fork on it and changing the bar position to something a bit more upright... haven't settled on where I want to be on that side. I run my shifters in friction mode with 50/34 on the front and 12-36 out back for a wide range with lows for anticipated touring needs. 2200 and deore respectively doing shifting duty. Cheap brakes but plan on going disc front when I upgrade the fork and maybe deore or lx level v-brakes on the back. It's a lovely ride and it still looks good if you stand back and squint a bit
