If it's frame pedigree you're worried about, the CAAD7 frame on the R700 was used by Saeco/Cannondale pro riders as recently as two seasons ago. It's an excellent frame, stiff as hell, and I love mine to death, but I'll echo what's already been said: Go ride both and pick the one that feels better under you.
