So I am getting ready for my first road bike and I have narrowed it down to a few choices, Cannondale and Scattante.

I can get a Scattante with 105's for $300 less than a Cannondale with 105's or I can pay the Scattante price but get a Cannondale Synapse 6 without 105's so lessser of a bike.

I guess my only problem is the Scattante name. Is it like a store's house brand and should be avoided? I would feel a lot better riding a "Cannondale" but at the same time, I don't want to spend $300 more (or the same price and get a lesser bike) just for a name.

I guess my question is, is Scattante a legit, respected, quality bike brand and would you recommend it over Cannondale?
