There isn't a roadie in town that doesn't use the curb shoulder on the road as opposed to that joke of a path.

I just cold-set a fork for a local fixed-gear rider who wiped out at 45mph on the downhill section of this bridge. You should have seen the damage to his high-flange Dura-Ace 7600 track hub. Fork came out of it with much less damage; minimal, in fact.
