Well I know I ate TONNES more when I was overweight and depressed than anyone who works out or is in shape (exluding heavy weight bodybuilders).
I usually drink a milk or soy milk based protein shake. Protein and milk fill me up 'ok' and being high in protein take a lot longer to digest leaving me filled longer
Fruit is empty calories and isn't filling at all. Besides that I avoid carbs quite a bit espeically late at night when I am hungriest.
