Best ride in 2 years.

Today I had my best ride since the accident that broke my elbows. I decided to skip a group ride and rode my recumbent solo to the eastern end of the Katy trail, a round trip distance of 40 miles. Even better, the last 2 miles is uphill on Jungs Station Rd. I'd been shying away from that climb but I was able ro ride it today (slowly) without having to visit grannygearland.

So at 68, what's it going to take for me to get my endurance back? I was pooped when I got home. The temperature today was 91 with 49% humidity so that might have been a factor. It's taken longer than I thought it should, but I feel like I've finally mastered using the water pack and drinking tube on the recumbent. On a day like today, plenty of water is good.
