A UO8 with all its original components...not an uberbike but a great rider. Can't help much with painting advice but if you aren't comfortable with it as it is then you won't ride it. And it is definitely worth riding. Also can't comment on brake cleaner but anyone who hangs around old cars enough knows that DOT3 and DOT4 (i.e. traditional) brake fluid eats paint.
