Triple added to Centurion Sport DLX

I read this thread a couple of days ago but could not reply at the time. I want to share my experience before the thread disappears into the abyss of the back pages. In the mid 90's I added a granny gear (28T) to my 1985 Centurion Sport DLX to assist with the hills on a cross Pennsylvania ride. Shimano Acera X components and a Shimano Exage Crank. While the shifting is not precise, and there can be chain rattle, it is functional. Practice and learning to feather the shifter have resulted in a relatively smooth ride. The Centurion continues to be my main mode of transport to work.
