Greetings from Milwaukee

I'm a 44yo OFWG from the suburbs of Milwaukee who just got into road biking this month after realizing that running was going to turn my knees into jello if I kept that up. I figured biking would be a better way to keep in shape and have some fun outdoors during the six weeks or so we call Spring, Summer and Fall around here. So I bought an old Trek 420 on CL and have been riding it every day. I just hit 100 miles for the week, which is about 95 miles more than I have put on a bicycle since college. I have surprised myself at how much I enjoy it, and I think I might be hooked. I'm already looking around for my next bike and trying to decide what gear I really need to have. This is shaping up to be nearly as bad as my other hobby, road racing an open wheel formula car, which I thought couldn't be topped when it comes to burning money!
