Not a track bike, but I had the same idea for squirrel kills! The problem of squirrels running across the track was greatly diminished when I bought trash cans with lids for the velodrome. Subsequently people destroyed the lids and kicked in the trash cans. Now the squirrels are back with a vengeance because everyone down there is too good to empty the trash.
