Oh, did I say it's hilly ?.
I last rode Skyline/Blue Ridge Pkwy twenty-five years ago, so maybe things have changed. However, I wouldn't call those little speed bumps hills. I recall all of us laughing out loud when the locals referred to them as mountains. I remember mild rollers.

The biggest problems for us were the lack of fresh food along BRP (we left the parkway when we needed something that wasn't canned) and the lack of showers at the campgrounds along the parkway. I still have fond memories of a salad bar at one restaurant on the parkway and of the Sheraton in Roanoke (shower and a swim plus the added benefit of scaring the parents of the children's beauty pageant).
