I just wanted to thank everyone who posted here - I ended up with a Trek 7.3 FX instead of a road bike. I realized I'm not going to be doing anything that necessitates a road bike for a while. I bought my 7.3 FX thanks to these forums and a member named Waynesworld. Pretty great coincidence that he had one for sale.
