Another tire thread
I'm in desperate need for a new tire now and after reading a lot about a lot, i am going to try putting a larger tire in back instead of the 23's I have been running.
Panaracer Pasela - $22
Panaracer T-serv - $38
Panaracer Ruffy Tuffy - $40
Vittoria Randonneur - $26
These are the tires I'm looking at, all 700 x 27/28. Puncture protection is important to me. I still prefer lighter weight which is why the Randonneur isn't so appealing at 500+g and the fact i have heard it is very stiff and harsh to ride.
Mostly I want to know if a T-serv or Ruffy Tuffy is really worth double the price of a Pasela. What am I gaining in either of those tires that makes them so much better? So Far I am favoring the Ruffy tuffy but would either like it to be confirmed it is in fact great, or be convinced it isn't nearly worth double the price of a perfectly fine Pasela.
