Hey everyone, new member from Vancouver BC

hey all,

name's Andrew/Andy, and i'm a new pedal-power convert. dropped my car for human motivation about six weeks ago, and i'm having a great time with it so far.

my interest is practical road cycling, but i absolutely cannot resist trying to beat anyone that i see going my way. i'm just fumbling through all of the various things to fiddle with on the machine with the intention of becoming a very complete and competent mechanic (only for doing my own work), having done some truing and half built a wheel already.

my present best ride i've done was from where i live in Surrey to where i work in Richmond (~25.5km) in under an hour. obviously not amazing, but if there wasn't room to improve, who'd keep trying?looking forward to becoming an expert, and getting in shape.
