Spokes are creaking? Is the creak repeating with wheel revolution? Crank revolution? Or only when crank/weight is loaded just when a spot on the wheel coincides with the hard cranking? First and third options indicate possible spokes needing some attention. But if it's just happening regularly as you honk side to side and coincides with rider weight shifting back and forth, then you may need to hunt for other factors in creaking.
