Could hit the gym, go for walks, a swim perhaps. Other things other then cycling you know. Too much riding and you get tired of it, trust me.... i am going through it now
For leg recovery, if you message your quads from the top of the knee upwards, it feels great. Also a walk or something on recovery days work for me. If I just sit around watching TV, my legs (quads) will start to hurt and feel heavy. So now I take a walk.
