I disagree. The OP from "hill country Texas" states "weekend after next" on 10/6/2011 post. I will assume that is October 15 or 16, 2011. Fifty dollar registration, another $250 after he pays and gets an email. If you Google "charity ride Texas 2011," a local bike club has a page with two events that weekend. One is a chamber of commerce event with a $30 entry fee with no fundraising. And the other is.............
Bike MS: Valero! Which does happen to ask for $50 upfront and $250 later.
Sorry, but the Bike MS organization does not make it hard to realize your obligations. Its right there under "registration fee." Not obscure at all. So unless there is some other charity ride in Texas next weekend, which I would like to see a link to, then I call BS on the OP's assertion that he was duped.
