For now, see this: http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view...=1&new_route=1

I don't go any further than Route 137 using the Skokie Valley MUP. I avoid North Chicago and Waukegan all together.
Here are a few more good quality Chicago based routes;

75 mile route from West Rogers Park in Chicago to HWY 120 near Gurnee: http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/52907834

Century route to Russell Rd (along the IL/WI border) and back. A user can make his/her own route to the start from Skokie, Evanston or Chicago: http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/17521558
