First roadie... Trek 2100... cheapest bike in my size 63 cm. Might as well have bought the frameset, nothing is stock on the bike. Of course when I bought the bike I just wanted a roadie and did not know I was going to race, etc. Now the bike is too small, but that is just me. I know lots of people who are very happy with their first road bike purchace.

It is all part of the learning game. Everyone wants something better, lusts over other bikes, etc etc. It is just part of the game of road cycling. It is those that learn that they do not need every high end gadget for their bike that come out ahead.
