Go ahead and wear it. As long as you are going more than a couple miles, I see no problem with it. The late Mayo would tell you that wearing your full USPS kit was perfectly fine.
However, if you are only riding a few miles, I would suggest going to the Road forum and searching of OCP club.
**that said, I really think that we fixed riders need our own OCP (obsessive compulsive poser) club.
