I have this old school shifters on one of my bikes,
The rear derailleur moves two gears up or down when I shift, and I think it's the shifter since already tried all my "adjusting techniques" learned at youtube.
This is what exactly happens. If I go all the way on the biggest sproket and then start going down, I have to press twice to advance the next lower gear, and the about the 3rd gear, it jumps down to 1st without touching the 2nd. That same think happens from 1st to 7th gear.
I have lossen or tighten tension on the cable, moved the adjusting screw, etc. etc. and I think it may be the shifter as I stated before.
Any ideas of what would be. Can I service those shifter, rebuild or something or better start looking for a new ones.
