Same bike...I noticed the same thing at about the same mileage. I now have >500 miles on the bike and the front tire is still showing tread in the middle. The rear however has no tread at all in the middle of the tire. And today I got into a situation where I had to brake hard. I ended up locking the rear wheel for maybe one second. The Schwalbe's seem to be made for grip, and I really like the road feel I get from them. I can't see getting excessive mileage out of them tho...
Yeah, the Luganos do have some grip to them but I won't be purchasing the same tires ever, unless I can get the Luganos really cheap. I currently don't do any racing. I need to find out if there are any races going on within the area I live at. Maybe then will I purchase race tires.
