November - January 2009 ... worked in a cherry packing shed for the Christmas cherry season. It was harder work than what I thought it might be ... standing all day long and cold because they almost freeze the cherries ... but it wasn't a bad job. It paid quite well, and I'd consider doing it again.

In fact, it was my intro to the Harvest Trail.

I've also worked retail during the Christmas season several years. It's a great way to pick up some extra cash for things like new bicycles and trips to somewhere tropical. If that's what you're thinking of doing, however, you're a little late. You've got to line those jobs up mid-September.
