I recently purchased a Vitus 979. The component group on mine is Shimano 600. I believe that the bike you are considering also has Shimano 600. It is less desireaable than the Campy, but it is good stuff. If it has the Shimano 600, it is worth less than $400. I can't tell from the photo, but you may have Tubular tires (more popularly known as sew-ups or glue ons). If it has Shimano components, it is more likely worth $300 in a restored condition. Edit: If it has Shimano 600, the bike originally sold for less than $1000. Mine came with the original sales receipt.
