Did you use the Power Shift or Ultra Shift? I'd like to hear some reviews on the Power Shift other than they can't shift an entire cassette in one motion.
I have no idea what shifters I have. They are 2012 model year veloce, whatever those have.

The whole square taper vs new stuff thing is a tough call. I have no problem with square taper if the crankset is good, but it seems like the lightweight 10/11 speed cranks are all going to have some type of outboard bearing BB (if it is a threaded BB).
