half grip twist throttles are my personal preference, you can apply X amount of throttle and hold both halves ( the outer most portion being stationary gives you an easy way to pin the throttle into position )
Full grip twists i found dangerous and twitchy..
You could also get a cruise control unit .. press the button and let go of the throttle.. but i do not recommend this in city driving and i would strongly urge the use of e-brake levers with one.
