As far as the welding fietsbob, I'm not really looking to have a lot of work like that done. I'm mainly looking for a quick cheap fix to add some weight to the front so it doesn't lift so easily. Some of that may be due to me normally riding a track bike and not being used to the lower gear ratio but I would imagine with the trunk loaded up it would be pretty rear heavy no matter what.
